END OF LIFE

DOULA & CARE COMPANION SERVICE

Ensuring no one navigates this path alone!

As an advocate for individuals and families that are navigating the difficult path of a terminal illness or different stages leading to the end of a life, I strive to create a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes a peaceful passage along with emotional acceptance during this delicate time. From the moment a critical illness is diagnosed to the final breath, I provide non-medical guidance, comfort, and support. My role as an end of life doula (caregiver) helps to tackle emotional and logistical challenges while ensuring that the wishes of the critically ill person are respected.

With my extensive background in holistic health and wellness, mindfulness, and the ancient healing system of Qigong (prounounced chi-gong), we will create a palliative process unique to the specific needs of you and your family. I completed my education and certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Director at Manchester Community College. The working knowledge of therapeutic recreation expands daily as I continue to serve people of all ages.

Each birth is unique and this uniqueness continues through to the time of transition - the end of life. From the first breath to the last, you and your loved one deserves palliative care leading to a peaceful passing.

My services as an end of life doula include legacy planning, sitting vigil, respite and palliative services, holistic care, along with emotional, logistical, and physical support. A comprehensive list can be found below however to fully understand how my doula services can assist you, please contact me. In addition to researching and providing resources, if there is a service I cannot provide, I confidently will refer you to a trusted provider.

Please feel free to email or call if you would like to explore how I may be able to help you or someone you know.

WHAT IS A DEATH DOULA?

Some services that a doula can help with!

What is a doula?

Referred to as a transitional doula, end of life advocates can play a role at any stage of an individual’s life. Most end of life doulas offer companionship and comfort to individuals’s and families that are facing life-altering illnesses, providing support for light grief and/or death planning. When faced with terminal conditions or imminent death navigating this part of life is often overwhelming.

Doulas are trained, often certified to deliver non-medical, holistic assistance for individuals and families seeking emotional, spiritual, and practical care. End of Life doulas offer methods that enable the critically ill and their support network to make informed decisions in a comforting environment.

What is the role of an end of life doula?

By encouraging open dialogue doulas help to normalize end-of-life care, which contributes to improved well-being. When individuals and families prepare for this stage of life, they gain increased autonomy over their choices and care, resulting in clearer communication, comfort, and support.

How can an end of life doula support you?

These are a few of the benefits that an end of life doula can provide to you and your family.
